2024 Fall Volunteer Days
In 2022, the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies (MFBFOC) adopted the social mission to End Childhood Hunger in Michigan. Since then, the Social Mission Task Force has deployed a multifaceted approach to efforts that help us understand and address childhood food insecurity statewide. We believe in safeguarding the present and the future. As a socially responsible and community-focused company, we are committed to making a significant impact in young lives across the state. Together, with MFBFOC employees, agents like myself, Michigan Farm Bureau members, and Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan policyholders we are building a brighter, hunger-free future for Michigan children. One way we do this is by volunteering at different food resource facilities across the state of Michigan. Our office staff participated in Volunteer Days at Gleaners Community Food Bank! We were honored to volunteer alongside fellow Farm Bureau agents and staff as well as students from a local high school. We served in the “clean room” scooping, weighing, sealing & packaging 844 lbs of Lucky Charms cereal! We hope our time given has made a significant impact on the lives of children and families in need and on the organizations that serve them, and we are feeling proud to serve the community!
